Advanced Bioprocess Control, Data and PAT

This four-day course provides in-depth training on the strategies and control concepts employed in modern industrial biomanufacturing. Delegates will explore the benefits and challenges of control systems in maintaining productivity, efficiency and quality in the bioprocessing environment as well as on multi-unit production lines. The course will expand on standard control strategies, looking at achieving operational efficiency through state-of-the-art process automation, control, and process analytical technology (PAT). Participants learn about the initial phases of building the control improvement business case and how the benefits of advanced automation, control and PAT often far outweigh the cost of implementation, especially as operational complexity increases. The Advanced Control Engineer’s ‘Toolkit’ is discussed in detail to understand how these approaches can be implemented in process development and in the regulated manufacturing environment.
